1. We are passionate about what we do.

The passion is a strong feeling of enthusiasm or excitement for something or about doing something. By cooking for customers, we must bring love and passion into our jobs. We are working when our customers are just having a good time with friends or family, enjoying good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

Being passionate is one of the most important key in the hospitality industry.

2. We cook at home for friends and family.

Well, we still have to feed ourselves but rice and pasta are tasty as well! Let me say, don’t hold your breath for a fancy dinner, it’s not going to happen anytime soon.

It doesn’t mean we are not passionate, we just want to have a little break from work.

3. As a woman it is hard to succeed.

Maybe I got pretty lucky on this one, but I didn’t struggle. The hospitality is a male dominated industry but we each have our role to play.

As a chef and a woman I feel like I have my own feminine and artistic touch. I am not saying that men don’t have it. But it is a different mind set.

As women we have to give a 100% of ourselves to earn our everyday victories.

We should be given the opportunity to decide whether we want to be a chef or not, either as a woman or a man.

We all need to try hard!
